In the beginning of VINAHF network of volunteers, Catholic sisters, Buddhist nuns are our first volunteers who worked closely with VINAHF to support the orphans in the remote areas.

VOSA (Vietnamese Orphans Support Association) is our first partnership in care of the orphans and support the orphanages.VINAHF supports the orphans in many ways, to sponsor orphanage centers with the regularly financial support, to build the orphanage facilities, to provide long-term scholarships for orphans, to respond timely to the call to save lives of the abandoned babies, etc.

Consistent to the principle of helping the poor – VINAHF helps these orphans with the same principle: “no giver, no receiver, no given object”.

About VINAHF Program To Support The Orphans

Supporting orphans is one of the 7 key long-term VINAHF programs which started from 2006 – VINAHF has helped many orphans/orphanages across the countries. Depending on our local volunteers, some orphanages have been receiving regularly VINAHF support since 2006, others support given based on the ad-hoc or per requests of orphanages.

Many years ago, food shortage were the constant worries of the care givers of these orphanages, but food conditions have been improved, and VINAHF has changed our support accordingly to effectively help orphans such as to provide the scholarships for orphans to achieve their education dreams, to provide financial support for the education/ skills training programs according to the requests from the care givers (nuns, sisters, fathers, monks in charge of orphanages, etc.), to build the facilities for the orphans, to help orphanages overcome the hardships (like the on-going Covid19 Pandemic and to care for the care givers).

Current Orphanages under our sponsorship with the regulartly support are in Trà Vinh, Huế, Thừa Thiên, Quảng Bình.

With the long history of VINAHF’s support, some orphanage centers are now a “front line” to support effeciently VINAHF for other missions in the areas (such as the reliefs).
